Talo North is owned by sole director, Paul Andrew Thornber, who graduated from Manchester School of Architecture in 2015 with a first class honours degree with awards, and subsequently worked at both BDP and mecanoo in their respective Manchester offices.

Alongside design acumen and experience in large scale infrastructure/residential projects in the UK, Paul previously worked in both the UK and The Netherlands as a plumbing/gas heating engineer.

We believe that hands-on site experience is essential when managing complex design/construction projects, and Paul has accrued a wealth of on-site experience ranging from large university campuses in Delft (NL) to bespoke single home refurbs.

When it comes to undertaking projects, we partner with our sister company Paul Thornber Design & Build Ltd, which has seven years of expertise in repurposing existing buildings and delivering bespoke design-led projects.
